Jobs to do in October...

  • Dig compost or well-rotted manure into beds which have been harvested.

  • Cut down the remains of runner beans and pea plants and remove.

  • Dig up the last of the potatoes.

  • Dig up beetroot and horseradish.

  • Plant winter and spring lettuce plants.

  • Sow lamb's lettuce and spinach.

  • pepare teh grrenhouse ready for winter.

  • Organise material to use as winter protection such as bubble wrap, fleece and straw.
